LNF organized several district and regional meetings to prepare for the annual regional local government budget consultative meetings organized by ministry of finance, planning and Economic development.

Citizen Platform Meetings

A total of 677 participants, 474 male and 203 female across the five districts and 10 sub counties of Amolatar, Otuke, Alebtong, Dokolo and Lira participated in the parliament meeting with 2 Health centres (Alanyi HC III & Atangwata HC II), one road() and 7 schools(Awiodyek, Olaka, Awelo SS, Muntu, Alanyi, Adwir, Acoto) visited.

Lira NGO Forum (LNF) was established in 1998 as a voluntary umbrella Non-Governmental organization (NGO) to represent Civil Society Organization (CSOs) in Lango sub region. Lira NGO Forum is a registered not for profit organization with registration number S.5914/4743 under NGO registration Board. To build an informed and Vibrant Civil Society and citizenry working with accountable and responsible leadership in Lango Sub-region. CAP is being implemented in 5 districts of Lira (Lira & Amach) , Alebtong (Abako & Omoro), Otuke (Adwari & Ogor), Dokolo (T/C & Agwata) and Amolatar (Awelo & Muntu). CAP’s target is 12000 people direct and indirectly, and to date reached is 6964 people (M-4838 F-2126) directly and 12000 indirectly


Lira NGO Forum is a membership umbrella organization made up civil LNF has a total of 150 member organizations that are actively doing work in Lango, formed with the aims to promote networking, coordination and sharing between member organizations and the district local governments, with support to improve governance and accountability, mobilize resources, advance the empowerment of communities and promote advocacy for community rights and poverty reduction.


It focuses on empowering the communities to demand for effective service delivery and also enhance the capacity of leaders to respond to service delivery issues in their communities. LNF provides a platform for CSOs to share information, network and collaborate with other members of the CSOs fraternity. • Improve implementation performance of development programmes and projects in the areas of Health, Education, Roads and Production and community driven programmes through increased participation and ownership by citizens in the decision-making processes .
